Welcome to a new year and new term at Marrickville Intensive English Centre, where our students come from all over the world and settle into the Australian schooling system well.
Every new student is tested for English proficiency. Each student participates in the School's "Orientation" program on Thursday for 5 periods at the IEC. This program orientates the students to the NSW school system and education in Australia. It also introduces each student to the local library, health and recreational facilities linked to the school. Students are paired with a student mentor, where possible from their own language background. Students are issued with books, uniform, a USB stick and stationary to aid them in their studies.
